My First Post

This being my first post I thought I would show one of my earlier pieces and tell you a little bit about it....But first I want to thank my son-in-law for setting up this Blog for me and walking me though all the steps to get this far....So....Thanks Mike, You're the best. Now back to my art. This piece is handmade paper that was made from desert plants gathered from the area around my house. It was inspired by the Lascaux Cave Drawings. The back ground is pulp poured onto a screen and while it was still wet I than used pulps of different textures (colored in various ways) to pour the bulls head and the accents. I then press the paper until it dries. In this particular piece the background pulp was very course to give it a cave wall or rock like appearance.

For those of you that thought this was way to much info. Don't worry! This is my first post and it was about one of my favorite pieces so I rambled a little. As I post more of work I'm sure I will be a little less informative. and just let you know what it is and hope you will let me know what you think of it. Thanks for checking in.

  1. Scott O-Ranger,
You are so talented! The garden art is adorable and you know I've always been a fan of your paper/lint/whatever Art :) Still waiting for a Tuscan inspired piece in Tuscan gold, brick red, chocolate brown, with hints of yellow, green, & blue! Miss working with you...
