In this project I made the paper out of rose peddles. I used the dried leaves to accented the color of the paper. I also used the leaves and inlayed strips of the steams for embellishment. I floated it on an earth green matt in a black wood frame with glass. This piece is at Adeana'z Alley in Gold Canyon

Rustic Paper and Twine
This project is handmade paper and twine. The paper is made of both plants and recyced papers. I colored it while in the pulp stage with temper paint. Then poured it over the knoted twine in layers. This is the only one left of this series and it is hanging in the Gallery at Adeana'z Alley, Gold Canyon, AZ

Bottle Tree
I decided that we needed a bottle tree for our "garden." Which is the side of our house that I built the box garden.....we have no plant in yet. But it's a great place to put the things I make called garden art. Things like flowers made from recycled plastic lids and wood(an art project with Miley), Flowers on boards made for recycled tin cans and yes.....Bottle trees. This was a much bigger project than I thought it would be. I have to do some redesigning but I should have it done and pictures posted my the end of the month.

My First Post
This being my first post I thought I would show one of my earlier pieces and tell you a little bit about it....But first I want to thank my son-in-law for setting up this Blog for me and walking me though all the steps to get this far....So....Thanks Mike, You're the best. Now back to my art. This piece is handmade paper that was made from desert plants gathered from the area around my house. It was inspired by the Lascaux Cave Drawings. The back ground is pulp poured onto a screen and while it was still wet I than used pulps of different textures (colored in various ways) to pour the bulls head and the accents. I then press the paper until it dries. In this particular piece the background pulp was very course to give it a cave wall or rock like appearance.
For those of you that thought this was way to much info. Don't worry! This is my first post and it was about one of my favorite pieces so I rambled a little. As I post more of work I'm sure I will be a little less informative. and just let you know what it is and hope you will let me know what you think of it. Thanks for checking in.
